Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother as was Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox received a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. She managed to make it on her student stipend while working part time jobs. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability in comparison to her fellow students and she pondered what alternative direction she would take. Lennox began her career in the year 1976 when she joined a band called Dragons Playground. She quit the group shortly before their appearance on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. She was the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. In this band, she met Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own debut album Diva. It came out in 1993. It was a massive hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album debuted in October 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera was recorded by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. The collection comprising four tracks that were that were improvised. The E.P. The E.P. is her first solo album, and is a sequel to the art installation she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You go...
